    • Eckstein PTSA Dine Out Fundraiser at the Bryant Corner Cafe - 5/16

      Eckstein PTSA invites everyone to dine out at the Bryant Corner Cafe (3118 NE 65th St.) on Wednesday, May 16th. You get delicious food and drinks and Eckstein PTSA gets 15% of the proceeds from the entire day! Not only can you get $2 double tall lattes, but the Bryant Corner has put together a special menu in addition to their usual fare: Guac and chips

    • Science Night 2018 - May 10 @ 6-8 pm

      The Eckstein Science Department invites you to celebrate young scientists and their work on Thursday May 10 from 6-8 pm at Eckstein Middle School.
      This is our largest community event of the year with all 6th, 7th, and 8th grade students participating and families filling the halls to celebrate student success. Students in each grade will display their independent projects throughout the school. High school robotics teams and community scientists will be on hand with interactive exhibits to show you some of the science happening around Seattle! Don’t forget to stop by the bake sale! Please come and support their hard work and see what these future scientists and engineers have accomplished!
    • Special Education Info Night - June 19 @ 5:30-6:30 pm

      On June 19, 2018, Eckstein will have a Special Education information event with pizza provided for new special education students and their parents/guardians before the Ice cream social on June 19, 2018, from 5:30p.m. to 6:30.m. If you have any questions about the Special Education information event, please contact Stacey Norman, We hope to see you there.
    • Incoming Sixth Grade Students Ice Cream Social June 19th @ 6:30-7:30 pm

      On June 19, 2018, Eckstein Middle School will sponsor an Ice Cream Social for the families of incoming 6th graders for 2018 2019 and it will be from 6:30p.m. to 7:30p.m. in our cafeteria/garden area. No reservations needed. Please call Eckstein Main Office if you have any questions – 206-252-5010.
    • ASB Officer Applications

      ASB officer applications are NOW available in the main office or Mrs. Poort’s room (120). There are several positions available to both 7th and 8th graders (for next year). Please see the Eckstein Website for the application, or pick one up in the main office.

    • SCRIP Program at Ecsktein

      What is SCRIP? SCRIP allows you to purchase gift cards from 100s of major retailers at face value while earning money for the PTSA – anywhere from 2% to 16% of the purchase price, depending on the retailer. The PTSA has opted to always carry cards from Amazon ($100), PCC ($10), Safeway ($25 and $100), Starbucks ($25), and Target ($50 and $100).

      You can also special order cards from hundreds of other retailers. To see a list of all the retailers available, go to then click on “Retailers” (scroll down on the left-hand side of the screen to download the .pdf file of the complete retailer list). Orders will be filled twice a month (perhaps more often as the holidays approach) and cards will be delivered to the front office for pickup. You will be notified by email when your order is ready.

      Payment is required in advance; you can make checks payable to Eckstein PTSA or use a credit card for an additional 3.5% fee. The order form can be found HERE.       Dear Fellow Families and Friends of Eckstein Students;

      The Eckstein Annual Campaign (EAC) officially kicks off October, curriculum night, and runs through October 31st. We are already off to a great start with many generous supporters getting a jump on their giving by returning their cards from the first day packet. Please join them by bringing your check to curriculum night, and dropping them off in the front office in the EAC box. Or if you prefer you can donate on the website by following the link above.

      SchoolPay is now LIVE ! You can pay from HOME with your credit or debit card, simply sign into your SOURCE account and look for the SchoolPay Logo on the left hand side of the page.

      Please be advised that the Registration form under the District’s Middle School link has only the High School information listed.  has only the High School information listed. You can use this form and just write in the school your student is attending this year. Also, the sports offered at Eckstein are: Fall: Co-ed Ultimate Frisbee, Girl’s Soccer Winter: Basketball – both Girl’s and Boy’s Springs: Girl’s volleyball, Co-ed Track, Boy’s Soccer Forms are also available at the school.     • Welcome to Eckstein

      I hope you are having a wonderful summer! It is already August and our first day of school is September 6th at 8:55 a.m. Eckstein is beginning to wake up from the July break. Our floors are waxed and we are preparing! 6th grade students will kick off the year with a morning orientation on September 6th. Parents are welcome to walk students to the cafeteria for name tags and then to the auditorium. While 6th graders get oriented, returning 7th and 8th grade students will reconnect with their peers in homeroom and get ready to begin the year. New 7th and 8th graders will have a special orientation—more information will be available on our website. Remember to check the website regularly for updated information.
