3D Modeling/Sculpture Club

In this club you can use almost anything to make 3D models of things, places, and people. If you like making paper sculptures, Minecraft, Legos, clay, anything, and everything, this is the place to be Thursdays during lunch. There will be plenty of opportunities to share what you know and the cool things you've making! All students are welcome!
Dirt Bike Club

At Eckstein Middle School, we encourage students to be creative and pursue their interests. The Dirt Bike Club provides students with an outlet to discuss their love of motorcycles and of the connections this sport has with their education; from PE to STEAM, there are so many ways that this sport can expand your horizons, in an open, friendly environment with peers who share the same interests. We’ll learn about everything from safety, maintenance and costs, to star athletes in the sport. Overall, this will be a place to both have fun and make new friends. This club is for anyone who rides dirt bikes, who wants to ride, or is just interested in motorcycles and wants so share and learn about the dirt bike culture!

The goal for Unified Lunch club is to spread inclusion and acceptance while celebrating everyone’s awesome uniqueness. We’ll eat our lunches, have fun conversations and play some virtual games. You can drop in or attend every week.

Beads Around the World

At Eckstein Middle School, we encourage students to be creative and pursue their interests. The Beads Around the World Club provides students with an opportunity to create beads and beadwork according to their interests in open, friendly environment with peers who share the same interests. The group will choose a region of the world and learn about how beads are used in the region both historically and culturally while also experimenting with different beading techniques. Staff will provide starter beading kits and accommodations so that everyone can participate. Overall, this will be a place to both have fun and make new friends.
Film Making Club

This is a quarter long activity. Learn about the film making process from film maker, August Detering. We will start with idea development and screenwriting. We discuss scene scouting and actor recruitment. Then we will move into filming using a smartphone.
Library Club Read-a-loud

Want a cozy end to your day? Listen to Ms. Sterling read parts of a book – no need for cameras or staring at screens! Library Club has already finished reading the book Free Lunch by Rex Ogle and has now started on the book The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes by Suzanne Collins, chosen by students. 3:15pm every day but Wednesday and if you have to miss a day, no worries! The readaloud will be recorded and posted so you can catch up another day.
Rainbow Club

Do you identify as a part of the LGBTQ+ community? Do you want to make some friends and have some social time after school? Then Rainbow Club may be for you! Rainbow Club is an inclusive social group that meets every Tuesday from 3:15-3:45. At Rainbow Club, students enjoy their time together by having conversations, playing games, and discussing topics related to the LGBTQ+ community. Identifying members of the LGBTQ+ community and allies are welcome!

Game Club is a safe space for all students to come together to enjoy the finer things in life: games in all their glory. While this club used to focus solely on board and card games, we will be expanding our interests this year, attempting to bridge the technology gap through interactive groupings. Past students enjoyed Dungeons and Dragons, Magic: The Gathering (Mr. Riedeman’s personal favorite), Yugio, Pokémon, Exploding Kittens, Chess and many other classics. Steam, Xbox, Playstation, Nintendo Switch and other devices will be acceptable ways to engage with your peers in this ever evolving club.
