Eckstein Band Letter and Tentative Band Schedule

updated band calendar as of 9/9/2019

Read important information about privately owned music instruments. Students should be instructed to be extremely careful about where their instrument is left while at school. Whenever possible, instruments should be stored in the storage room designated by the music teacher. Student cases should be plainly marked with the student's name and school. Parents should investigate the possibility of including privately owned musical instruments on homeowner's or renter's insurance policies. It is not the policy for the Seattle Public Schools to assume responsibility for these instruments.

This letter also includes a request for a $90.00 Enrichment Fee that is used to sustain the quality of the music program at Eckstein. Donations are accepted via SchoolPay (, personal check or through the Alliance for Education (make sure Eckstein Band's name is selected)

2019-2020 Solo & Ensemble Contest at Eckstein- March 21, 2010

The Solo & Ensemble is a great chance to get friendly and supportive feedback for your budding musician. Musicians of all abilities are encouraged to participate. The event gives students in choir, band and orchestra an opportunity to play a short piece -- individually or with a group -- before a local professional musician who will encourage students and provide feedback on their performance.

Save your Stuff and Save the Date - Saturday, April 25th, 2020

Our Annual Eckstein Band Rummage sale is set for Saturday, April 25th from 9AM to 3PM.

We need your donations to make this year’s sale a success!
Please set aside your gently used clothing, household items, books, music, furniture, sports equipment and more. Bring your donations to the Eckstein cafeteria on Friday, April 24th from 1:30 to 4PM.

Mark your calendars and come to this popular rummage sale event. There will be wonderful bargains, delicious baked goods for sale and lively jazz music from our student combos.

Monies raised from the Rummage Sale go directly to our Eckstein Music Programs and are used to support instrument repairs, scholarship funds and off-campus music performances. At Eckstein we work to make our outstanding music programs accessible to every student and family. Thank you for supporting this important event!
