Since the majority of our students have had limited access to the Eckstein Middle School campus over the past year and a half, we will be hosting Back to School Fairs on specific days:

August 23rd will be for 8th graders

August 24th will be for 7th graders

To reduce numbers to students in the building, we ask that 7th and 8th graders attend during their assigned time: Last Name begins with: A-L 1-2pm M-S 2-3pm T-Z 3-4 pm.

August 25th will be for 6th graders, blended with WEB Day. Assigned times coming soon!

If your student is unable to to attend the Back to School Fair or WEB Day, all materials distributed during the fair will be available the first week of school.

The Fairs will take place in our school gym. Please see map below. Please park in the lots on 30th AVE NE and walk up the stairs to the gym. Or you can park in the lot behind the school and walk around to the gym from the back field.

6th Grade WEB Day activities will take place on the field.

While these events are intended to support students and their families, current district guidelines do not allow anyone other than staff and students in SPS buildings. All 6th grade students participing in our WEB Day will receive tours of the building in small groups. Once 7th and 8th grade students receive their schedule and locker at the fair, they will be able to walk their schedule for practice and try out their locker combination. Leadership students will be present all three days to provide support and guide small group tours for interested students.

Students entering SPS buildings will need to provide Health Attestation until September 1st. We will have hard copies of attestation forms or the form can be filled out digitally.

During Back to School Fair, students will have the opportunity to do the following:

• Receive their locker combination and practice opening their locks
• Receive their school planner, class schedule, and map of the school
• Pick up an Eckstein tee-shirt provided by Eckstein ASB
• Get their school picture taken
• Receive order information for school spirit gear
• Pick up their musical instruments from band and orchestra teachers
• Engage with fun back to school activities such as a selfie station

During the same times, grade level parents will have the opportunity to do the following:

• Sign up for the Eckstein PTSA
• Get instructions on how to make purchases online through School Pay. These purchases include a yearbook, field trips, athletics, and other school opportunities

We are looking forward to providing students with smooth transition back to school, as well as reducing worries about lockers, finding their way to their classes, etc…
