June 17, 2025 – 5-6:30 pm

• Students gather in the south parking lot on 30th Avenue closest to 70th Street starting a 4:45 pm.
• They will have been given a 11 x 17 name placard that they decorate at school during the day with their name on it. They bring the placards to hold during the event. Counselor Hoff will announce the name on the student’s placards as they walk under the balloon arch.
• Families and staff line up along 30th Avenue and cheer on our eighth graders as they walk up the street toward 75th Street in small groupings of around 4 students. Feel free to bring signs for your student or any other spirit items!
• Student’s names are announced as they walk past the emcee.
• The parade route takes them east on 75th Street and then through the hallway from the main office to the cafeteria, for one final walk through Eckstein
• Refreshments and cake for families and students will be available in the cafeteria.
• The Eighth-Grade video will be showing in the Little Theater that was shown to the students earlier in the day
• After the parade: Meet your student in the garden/cafeteria. You can enter the building on 30th Avenue through the open side doors. Photo opportunity under the “Eagle wings” on the cafeteria wall.
