Snow days will now be remote school days

Remote Snow Day: Thursday, February 6, 2025

Due to snow and hazardous road conditions, all Seattle Public Schools will be in remote instruction today. Buildings will be closed, and there will be no in-person instruction. 

Remote instruction will operate on a regular school schedule. 

Technology support information for students and families.  Morning and afternoon activities are canceled, as well as all athletic events

Thursday February 6, 2025 remote school bell schedule:

Period 1: 8:55 am – 9:50 am
Period 2: 9:55 am – 10:50 am
Period 3: 10:55 am – 11:50 pm
Period 4: 11:55 am – 1:20 pm
1st lunch 11:50 am to 12:20 (class time: 12:25 to 1:20 pm
2nd lunch 12:50 pm to 1:20 pm class time: 11:55 am to 12:50 pm
Homeroom: 1:25 pm – 1:45 pm
Period 5: 1:50 pm – 2:45 pm
Period 6: 2:50 pm – 3:45 pm

The first day this occurs, students and staff will use the first two hours of the morning to prepare for remote learning then remotely check into their first period class at 10:55 am and follow the 2-hour late below.  Any subsequent snow days will be regular school days, with period 1 starting at 8:55 AM. 

Students should bring laptops and chargers home from school every day so that they are prepared to learn remotely if it snows.

Links to TEAMS meetings will be posted to each teacher’s Schoology page once the snow day is declared.  They are created, but currently hidden from student view. 

Whenever there is potential school disruption due to snow please check the SPS website at seattleschools.org and/or local news stations for the latest updates.

Snow Day – First Day Two-Hour Late Start Mon, Tue, Thu, Fri Schedule

If SPS declares a two-hour late start, Eckstein will follow the bell schedule below:

• Period 1 10:55 to 11:34
• Period 2 11:39 to 12:18
• Period 3 12:18 to 1:32
• 1st lunch 12:18 to 12:48 class time 12:53 to 1:32
• 2nd lunch 1:02 to 1:32 class time 12:23 to 1:02
• Period 4 1:37 to 2:16
• Period 5 2:21 to 3:00
• Period 6 3:05 to 3:45

Snow Day – First Day Two-Hour Wednesday Late Start and Early Release Schedule:

* All classes are 25 minutes except period 1 which is 35 minutes long.  Pay attention to lunch times, first lunch and second lunch follow a slightly different pattern.  Lunches are still based on period 4 teacher; however, first lunch and second lunch have period 3 wedged in between them.
