Improvements Coming to 75th Street

Summary: Improvements Coming to 75th Street

Improvements Coming

To support students walking and biking to Eckstein, SDOT is building safety improvements on NE 75th Street from 30th Avenue NE to 33rd Avenue NE including:

  • Installing speed cushions to slow people driving down.
  • Upgrading sections of the bike lane on NE 75th St from flex posts to hardened curb.
  • Adding more markings in the street to better delineate the space where people are biking.
  • Marking crosswalks along NE 75th St (on the north and south legs of the street) to facilitate safer pedestrian crossings.

We expect construction to start as early as spring 2026 and aim to have construction occur on weekends or during school breaks. Timelines are dependent on weather and crew availability.

Crews will place temporary no parking signs a few days before construction starts. Please follow any temporary no parking signs to avoid towing.
