Inclement Weather Update

As the potential for inclement weather approaches, we want to make sure our Eckstein School Community is informed and prepared on the plan to use technology and remote learning instruction so students can continue to learn from home during inclement weather/snow days.  Based on weather conditions, we have two possible scenarios – two-hour late start with in-person learning or school buildings closed with students at home engaged in remote learning.  More information from the District on the either inclement weather scenario.

When Eckstein’s school building is closed, students will be learning virtually and classes will happen through Microsoft Teams.  Students can access the links for Microsoft Teams using their school laptops and going to their individual teacher’s Schoology pages.  On the first snow day, we will operate on a 2-hour Late Start Schedule (See below).  Each snow day immediately following that will resume to our normal bell schedule.

If the school building is closed and students are learning remotely due to inclement weather , we set up a Teams link for parents, students, and teachers to contact the office for help during the weather event.  During school hours, that Teams meeting is monitored by main office staff and admin.  Please reach out if you have any questions – Join the Inclement weather Teams meeting

Please reach out to the main office if you have questions eckstein@seattleschools.org
