Hello! I attended high school in Loveland, Colorado and went to college in Greeley, Colorado. I have a Bachelor's degree in English/Education and a Master's degree in Education Technology.
I have been teaching at Eckstein since 1989. I especially love working with middle schoolers because they are fun (and funny)!
For several years, I was the Department Chair for the Language Arts Department. In 2000, I was awarded the Golden Apple for teaching, largely due to my writing curriculum. In 2018, I was nominated for Washington State Teacher of the Year.
My daughter, Aaliyah, also attended to Eckstein and graduated from Nathan Hale High School.
I think it's important for students to be engaged in their learning. Thus, I try to provide many opportunities for students to make their own choices to demonstrate their understanding of skills and concepts.
