Cellphone Policy
Eckstein Cellphone Policy
The Eckstein cellphone policy is for cellphones to be off and away for the entire school day. Students are reminded of this policy during homeroom every day.
We ask parents and guardians not to text or call their students on their cellphones during the school day. If you need to contact your student, please call the Main Office and we will send a note to your student.
Please note:
- The first confiscation will result in an email home to parents/guardians.
- The second confiscation will also result in an email home and a warning about the third confiscation.
- The third confiscation will result in the student being required to have the cellphone checked in to the Main Office every school day for a week.
- Subsequent cellphone confiscations after the third confiscation will result in extra weeks that the student must turn their cellphone in to the Main Office.
When can a student use their cellphone?
- Before and after school.
- As directed by a teacher.
- With permission, to contact parent/guardian, while student is in the main office, attendance office, counseling office, or nurse’s office.
